WORSHIP MINISTRY

GOD DESERVES OUR WORSHIP

In all that we do at VBC, we seek to make much of Christ through our living out a life of worship. In Paul’s letter to the church at Colossae, he says this:

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:16-17

During our worship gatherings at VBC, we aim to:

  1. Sing Scripturally-focused, gospel-rich songs that express deep thankfulness for Christ's atoning work—His life, death, resurrection, and the new and eternal life granted to all who trust in Him as Savior and Lord.
  2. Foster a culture where the Word of Christ dwells richly in us as we teach, encourage, and unify one another through singing (Col. 3:16).
  3. Worship with excellence and thankfulness—using biblically sound lyrics and beautiful instrumentation that encourage strong, passionate, and unified congregational singing.
  4. Highlight congregational and multigenerational singing, reflective of our church family of faith.
  5. Build up leaders and musicians who seek to glorify God with their gifts and in their lives.
