  • dr. MIchael Cabell 

    sEnior pastor

    Michael has served at Versailles Baptist since 2007. He became the Senior Pastor in 2014 after serving as the Minister of Discipleship and Evangelism for six years.

     

    Michael is passionate about preaching God's Word and seeks to help people apply it to their lives. He loves missions and had been involved with the Casa Hogar Emmanuel Orphanage in Naco, Mexico for over 15 years.  


    He is married to the love of his life, Carrie, and they have three children, Jackson, Kennedy, and Madison. 


    Michael holds a Doctorate in Preaching from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY, and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY.

  • Jonathan Berry

    Minister to Adults

    Jonathan began his ministry at Versailles Baptist in July 2014. He previously served as an Associate Pastor at churches in KY and Delaware.

     

    Jonathan gives direction to Sunday School, First Impressions, Missions, men’s/women’s ministries, and all adult discipleship opportunities.

     

    Jonathan has a Bachelors from Mississippi College and a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY.

     

    Jonathan is a native of Mississippi and is married to Reagan. They have four children, Stella, Addis, Kona, and Violet.

  • Kevin Hash

    Minister to Students

    Kevin began his ministry at Versailles Baptist in January 2014.  He leads our ministry to youth and their families. He seeks to train teens in a program of discipleship. 


    Kevin has a Bachelors from Western KY University and a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY.


    Kevin and his wife Dana have three children, Reagan, Ryan and Morgan.

  • Will gerrald

    minister of worship

    Will joined the ministry team in January 2016. Originally from South Carolina, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Furman University in Greenville, SC and a Master of Church Music degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. 


    Will loves the Lord and is committed to teaching the truth of God's Word through corporate worship. It is his desire to see the Bride of Christ unified in bringing glory to their Maker. In addition to worship responsibilities, Will oversees our media and Senior Adult ministries.


    Will's wife, Caitlin, works part time as Physician Assistant in Lexington. They have three boys, Henry,  Theodore, and Patrick.

  • lauren p

    minister to children

    Lauren P will be transitioning to overseas work with the IMB later this year.  Because of this we are unable to publish her picture and last name. 


    Lauren began her ministry at Versailles Baptist in December 2014. She is a children’s worship leader and songwriter from the Dayton, OH area.  She felt the call to children’s ministry in junior high. In addition to the musical aspect of children’s ministry, she enjoys sharing the love of Jesus with children through creative skits and dramas.

     

    In addition to her work in children’s ministry, Lauren writes and performs in a variety of genres, including musical theater, opera, pop, and Southern Gospel. 


    Lauren graduated from Anderson University in Indiana in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in Christian Ministries.

  • Emilio zapata

    minister to hispanics

    Emilio and Nirma began their ministry with Versailles Baptist in 2010. They are missionaries who came to the US from Chile to minister to the Spanish speaking population. Additionally, they minister with churches in Nicholasville.

     

    Emilio and Nirma direct a weekly worship service in Spanish and an adult Bible study. They also help provide leadership to our Hispanic Homework Club.

  • Kendra Lopez

    Office administrator / ministry assistant

    Kendra joined the staff in December 2018.  She manages the facilities and all publications and provides support for the worship, adult, and Hispanic ministries.

    financial administrator / ministry assistant

    Diane joined the staff in 2015. She provides financial and accounting support and well as support for the Senior Pastor, youth, and children's ministries.

  • Matthew Pettigrew

    accompanist & ministry associate

    Matthew joined the staff in 2018.  He plays piano for all of our services as well as assisting with the worship and student ministries.

  • virginia slone

    custodian

    Virginia joined the staff in 2007. She oversees the custodial needs of the church and is responsible for preparing our Wednesday night meals.
